I absolutely looove flowers and think there's nothing like them to make a house a home. So, every week or so I treat myself to a few small bunches of fresh flowers which I dot around the house. I prefer to use vintage enamel jugs, mason jars and small vintage glass bud vases for my flowers instead of larger vases. If I'm doing a big fancy arrangement I might use a large clear glass vase and put some pine cones or pebbles etc. in the base depending on the occasion. I try to always have some fresh flowers on my nightstand (nothing elaborate or fancy, just a couple of sprigs and some greenery) I think it's important to wake up and start the day looking at something pretty and beautiful and "happy". My favourite flowers are fluffy pink and white peonies, cream large headed roses, purply-blue hydrangeas and lilac. These are some beautiful little arrangements that appeal to me and immediately make me smile. What do you think?

www.lulusdesigns.com I love groupings of smaller arrangements like this one; I think sometimes they are more interesting and quirky than one large arrangement.
www.hydrangeasbiz.com I love this picture. The different shades of purple and blue are just beautiful.
