Step into Spring…

With the beautiful weather we’ve been having over the last few days, I’ve been looking out on my empty patio picturing all the beautiful plans I have in store for it (over next few years). I thought I would share a few beautiful images with you of some patios, terraces and outdoor spaces that I just looove….the above picture is ultra girly with pastel coloured wooden chairs, fresh flowers and birdcages hanging overhead… you can almost taste the home-made lemonade!

I love this intimate little hideaway hidden under a canopy of tumbling ivy and fairylights. Beautiful french furniture, vintage cake stands and floral linens…sigh…I can picture myself sitting here with friends with a bottle (or few) of wine chatting til all hours under the candlelight! This to me is vintage elegance at its best.

Classic French bistro cafe furniture. Anything the French touch is automatically going to be chic in my opinion. These foldaway light-weight metal chairs and tables were invented back in late 19th century France where they were a Godsend for terraces of the small cafes and bistros that were popping up everywhere at that time. These were quick and easy to set up and put away and are very durable. Nowadays there are lots of replicas with wide ranges of colours and finishes.

A beautifully overgrown potting shed in a beautifully overgrown garden…

I love the idea of having a rusty old gate leading to a secret garden… this looks so magical with all the lanterns and the beautiful blue hydrangeas add a lovely burst of colour.

This is what I would like to do either side of the path leading to our front door. I can’t think of anything nicer than the scent of lavender to greet my friends and family as they walk into my home.

I waaaant this! All it needs is a big pile of soft vintage floral cushions, a blanket, a good book and perhaps a muslin canopy for shade…oh and some ice-cream would be nice too……truly a place for dreaming!

Well, that’s enough day dreaming for now! hope you love these pictures as much as I do…more dreamy outdoor settings to come!

Enjoy the sunshine :)
