Turquoise furniture…

It’s no secret that I am obsessed with all variations of the colour turquoise. Chalky blues, greens, cobalt blue – any of these and I’m in love. I am instantly drawn to it in vintage painted furniture. There’s just something about it. The chippier and flakier the better in my book! I thought I’d share a few pieces for you to drool over…

This beautiful cabinet has layers and layers of different colour paint from all its previous owners. I wonder where and how this cabinet was used through all the years. This cabinet  really tells a story – it would add instant character to any space. I am seriously jealous of its lucky owner.

I absolutely love Maria’s beautiful blue cabinet that sits in her kitchen. I love pretty much everything else here too – her collection of jugs, vintage linen grain sacks, linen tea towels, zinc jug and her vintage bucket of lavender…

I looove this!

This antique shop unit has been re-purposed into a practical island unit and painted a cheerful blue.

I love the worn, weathered patina on these pale blue doors….

This is one of my favourites. The colour and texture  are incredible. I want this. It would be perfect in my spare bedroom….

This is a really beautiful Oriental piece with a gold-leaf design on the front. It makes a dramatic statement in this all-white dining room..

I think this beautiful Indian carved cabinet is the perfect addition to this quirky bathroom.

This is a (very bad) picture of my dining area where you will see my green painted sideboard – one of my favourite pieces in the house. It was the perfect piece to stand in front of the reclaimed brick wall in this room. I have a stack of random vintage plates to hang on the wall above the sideboard but someone hasn’t gotten around to hanging them for me yet!! The chippy green-painted chair beside it was found at a flea market in Somerset when I was over visiting my family.

As always I would love to hear what you think in the comments below. Are you a turquoise fanatic like myself?!
