Hi! I’m Joanna, a writer for Arcadian Lighting, a terrific online source for lighting fixtures, from modern pendant lights to glorious chandeliers. I am so fortunate to spend my work days writing about beautiful home decor and interior spaces. Thanks to The Vintage Home for letting me share today!

A mirror is a mirror is a mirror, but most French mirrors are extraordinarily beautiful. Whether they are reflecting a stunning light fixture or a lovely room design, an ornate French mirror is a must-have accessory in the chic home. They pair well with the most traditional of decors or rustic, eclectic style spaces. Following are a few of my favorite French beauties.

Beautiful French Mirrors

This ornate French floor mirror would look as lovely in a bedroom as it would in a living room. Mirrors of this size are an excellent way to reflect light into a space.

A mirror hung above the mantel, as in this image, will reflect the room’s light fixture. When lit makes a dazzling display.

Layering ornate mirrors of differing sizes and shapes makes for a lovely vignette. The matte finish makes the flourish show through nicely.

Keeping the antique tarnished mirror within a French mirror frame such as this provides an extra element of patinaed beauty. Love the pairing of the mirror with modern acrylic furnishings.

A French honeycomb mirror in brilliant gold features a floral border around it. It would make a perfect focal point in an entry or living room.

Two French convex mirrors balance this living room and act as a focal point which draws the eye through the room.

Two is better than one as this large French mirror in bronze finish reflects its twin on the opposing wall.

A trumeau mirror gets a lovely touch of gold with a gilded sunburst motif. This type of mirror design is very popular in France. Two wall sconces would look so pretty hung on either side of this mirror. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
